Oh yes honeys! For the past 3,5 weeks I have been starving myself (just kidding) in order to lose weight and creating the ultimate summer body! And although my challenge is not over yet, I am really excited to already share the amount of weight I have lost so far! By mostly eating superfoods and going to the gym I managed to easily burn fat and feeling much and much healthier.
First off, let me share my favorite superfoods with you! Things I would absolutely recommend you to eat or drink if you’re determined to lose weight! Right after, I will share my personal results with you!
Cooked or raw, this vegetable is well-known for its cancer-preventing powers, but with a punch of filling fiber in less than 30 calories a serving, it’s also bound to prevent weight problems.
Salmon is rich in omega-3 fatty acids as well as protein, selenium, and vitamin D, making this superfood a must have if you’re interested in protecting your heart’s health and improving your metabolism.
Best known for their anti-aging effects, blueberries are a powerful figure-friendly eat. A 1-cup serving sets you back only 80 calories, and helps you feel full with 4 grams of fiber.
Almonds in particular can help you shed pounds! These popular nuts are actually low in calories with ten almonds costing you approximately 78 calories. Other than that they’re packed with useful nutrients like Vitamin E, mono-saturated fat (‘good’ fat) and fibre, they are also full of B vitamins and zinc, which helps stop sugar cravings.
This green leaf is packed with lots of nutrients for your body, including Vitamin K, which helps improve calcium intake (thereby promoting bone health).
6. White Mulberries
My fave of all ten! Mulberries contain almost no fat and you can eat them as often as you want without the fear of gaining weight. The high fiber content helps in easy digestion and makes you feel fuller for a long period of time. This avoids hunger or the need for frequent snacking, which is a very important factor in weight management.
7. Green Tea
Green tea is loaded with antioxidants and vitamins that are great for the body. It can help both your mind and body as it helps stimulate the brain and improves fat-burning aspects of physical performance. Get into the habit of drinking one cup a day!
8. Peanut Butter
This particular one gets special mention for weight loss because it’s a good fat that can be used to help lose fat. It tastes great and can satisfy cravings and even keep them from coming at all. Peanut butter is recommended for use in smoothies and is labeled a superfood.
Avocados are packed with over 25 essential nutrients: vitamins A, B, C, E, and K, as well as lots of fiber, protein, and healthy fats. Oleic acid, a compound in avocados’ healthy fats, may trigger your body to actually quiet hunger. Stick to a quarter or a half of an avocado and watch that belly fat melt away.
Don’t be deceived by its sweet nature. Raw honey has great antibacterial functions and is useful for healing purposes. It can also be used to soften skin and even cure allergies!
And that’s it! I hope these superfoods will somehow help you becoming a healthier you! I can tell from experience that these superfoods have done a lot for me. When having a full time job, a kid and a blog to look after, it’s not always easy to frequently go to the gym. So when seeing my results (in a few, don’t worry), keep in mind that I didn’t even had the opportunity to train that much! Let alone if I did!
Soooo…. In little bit more than 3 weeks I have managed to lose 6,6 pounds, which is 3,5 kilos! I could not believe my eyes when I stepped onto the scale! I’m so proud that I am finally seeing results! I even went out today to look for a nice bikini (not a bathing suit, but a BI-KI-NI!!!) for me to wear this summer! A few more pounds to go untill I will reveal my initial weight, and ofcourse, the grand finale!
